Kenyon McMillan was chosen as the Salina Chamber Athlete of the month. McMillan has high expectations for his senior year.

“My expectations for the upcoming year individually is to get 1,500 or more yards rushing with 15 touchdowns,” McMillan said.

“My team’s expectation is to make it to state.” McMillan has been in the weight room all summer training for those big plays he makes on the field.

“I best utilize my strengths for my team by making big plays happen to get the team going and fired up,” McMillan said. “I have been gaining weight by working out all summer to help improve my size.”

An important play against Campus last season changed McMillan’s look on the game, and is one he will always remember.

“One thing I took away from last season was getting a 70 yard touchdown in the first game against Campus,” McMillan said. “This motivates me because it shows me that I can always do more and more.”

McMillan hopes to continue playing football in the future while also keeping busy with academics.

“After high school I want to play football at the next level and get a degree in business,” McMillan said.
