VYPE: What are the goals of the team this season?
Three major goals for our program in 2022 were to win, win the Cup, win the League, and win in November. We accomplished those goals.
VYPE: What was the team’s best moment from last season?
Too many to narrow down to just one, but we had a certain resilience all year, which helped us have the success we had.
VYPE: Who is the team’s dynamic duo, and why?
I would say Gunnar and Keyon. Combined, they accounted for about 4,500 yards of offense.
VYPE: What is the team’s favorite memory together?
I would say our reaction in the locker room when we found out we were AVCTL-II Champions.
VYPE: What has been the biggest impression the team has made on you (the coach), and why?
Kids can always surprise you. I was worried about our mental toughness, but when are guys were backed into a corner, they seemed to elevate their game, and that was really impressive.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of working with this team?
They have been a group that can turn my frustration into excitement or jubilation in a hurry.
VYPE: Does the team participate in any community service projects?
We have, but since COVID has hit, many of those things have been put on pause.
VYPE: Are you any players involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?
Absolutely, our kids are involved in a number of things, from those you listed above to Theatre, Band, and many more. A football team is a very diversified group.
