VYPE had the chance to interview Salina Central’s Jillian Lawson and learn more about who she is.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My personal goals for this year is I would like to learn lots of new skills and have some fun and get to know my new team.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

My favorite teacher of all time would probably have to be my second grade teacher Miss.Dinkle I don’t remember much from then but I just remember how much fun she made it.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory is how excited we would get when we hit and new Stunt or when we get new skills.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate that has left the most impression on me is Pricilla Hoffpauir, she just always has the best attitude and will always cheer you up and encourage you to try new things and I think she is the perfect example of what a cheerleader should be like. 

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part about being on this team is how we are able to learn and grow while also being able to have fun. 

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

If I could pick any, where do you want vacation I would go to Hawaii and bring my best friend and my little sister. 

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

If I had to spend $500 in 24 hours I would spend it on clothes and shoes. 

I am so excited that I will be going to Fort Hayes State University to continue my cheer career.
