When talking about his team Josiah Monday had only good things to say. Sharing “My favorite part of being on the football team is that everyone works so hard to become better.”
“All summer long, everyone shows up to summer camps, practices, scrimmages, and weights to get better. The scout team plays hard every day to make the varsity better. The coaches put in endless hours of coaching, scouting, and watching film. All of these things are key components as to why our football team is as good as it has been for as long as it has.”
Something Monday is working toward this year is to “lead younger players to become better.”
He hopes to be able to impact others the way his teammate, Trever Keller, impacted him. Monday told VYPE that “Last year was my first time playing on the line and it really frustrated me. Trever talked to me after practice one day when I was mad and he told me to just relax and keep my head in the game. I’m very thankful he did, because I was able to get back into gear and have a very fun and successful season on the defensive line next to him.”
