Salina’s Jett Samuelson – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Spencer Cleaning

Q: What are your personal goals for the year?
A: I want to win state in basketball and baseball this year.


Q: What is your favorite athletic memory?
A: My favorite athletic memory was making the regional championship in baseball last
year.


Q: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
A: Cameron Yohe. Seeing him compete despite all the hardships he’s been through inspires
me to be my best.


Q: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
A: My favorite part of being on a team is getting to compete at a high level with people I
care about.


Q: Do you participate in any community service projects?
A: I help maintain and clean up river beds through the town to help improve the
community. I also volunteer and serve at church.


Q: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
A: I am in Chess Club, so I can spend time with my friends and challenge myself mentally. I
am in Jr. Civilian to help and serve the community.


Q: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
A:  I have learned that nothing in life comes free and you have to work for everything you
want in life.


Q: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
A: The best advice I’ve been given was: you have to go out there, do your best, and be ok
with that no matter the result.


Q: Who inspires you and why?
A: I want to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for supporting me as I look
to better myself both on and off the court.
